Ok not sure if this is stupid question or not... how does the Stalker compare up to other animals... or are animals like the same

Well i had the cat, then when it got lvl 7 or so, i decided to drop it and get a bear. I couldn't charm the bear [my skills too low or something] so i charmed a wolf as a desperate backup.

So now i don't know if it's just me, but firstly my Wolf is doing alot more damage even at lvl 3. Further i don't know whether it's the more damage, but my wolf is actually getting attacked! [as in tanking for change]. For some reason my cat almost never drew any attacks onto himself, resulting in me getting ganged. But i can't be sure if it's me dreaming after too much play or what :P
